BTA differences

I went to my LFS the other day, and saw there BTA tank. All of there BTA's were so healthy looking! They all had thick wavy tentacles, with a nice brownish color. Now, when I ordered mine online, it was always bubbled. I never liked it like that, but how can you make the BTA be nice a stringy instead of all bubbled and not graceful looking? Thanks

Also, do Percula Clowns host BTA's? Whats the best hosting Clown for BTA's.

You are the first person that I have read on this site that wanted it's BTA Not to bubble.Many people on this site have spent alot of time trying to read and study what exactly makes some bubble up and some lose their bubbles. I wonder why you did not purchase the ones at the LFS where you could see what you were buying, but bought online where you are never really sure what you are getting. I really have no knowledge of how to get them not to bubble up, for instance in my tank I have ten BTAS, six of them never bubble up and four have the most beautiful bubbles you will ever see, go figure And yes many people have gotten Percs to host BTAS.. I have an Onyx pair in my tank. Of the clowns that I have had over the years the Gold Stripe Maroon is a great candidate for BTAS.Hope this has been of some help to you.

Well the ones at my LFS are $80. And they arent even RBTA's. I guess bubbles are OK now that I have seen pics. What other Clowns are good hosters, besides the big mean GSM clown?

Clarkii are great hosters and will take to nearly any anemone.

I bought mine from marinedepotlive.com. Are RBTA's worth it? Or should I just go with a BTA

The only differnce is cosmetic so the value is up to you.
