BTA Growth Rate?

I'm curious, what is the growth rate of a BTA? I was thinking I get a larger tank than I originally planned but what wondering how quickly these things grow.

Thanks in advance,
Dave

i think it depends on how much you feed it, and your lighting....
my bta has trippled in size (at least) since march...5 months. but there was a pieriod of a month and 1/2 that i was feeding it every other day.. it was starting to bleach on its disk, and i had poor lighting. now i feed every third day.. but i now have a 250 watt mh over my 45 gal... so its practically exploading lol

Hi Dave, wanted to post pictures of a baby anemone, BTA that I purchased on line. When I got it last month it was the size of a quarter and now is around the size of a tennis ball . He is fed every other day with silversides.
So depending on how much food they get you can expect this kind of growth.
Here are the pics, day one in the tank and then another taken a month or less later.
He is growing nicely.
Hope this helps answer your questions

WoW Nice bubble-tips on that Nemo, how do you do it? I have had my RBTA for 2 years now and its huge, but no bubbles on the tips what-so-ever, ...

HI Skeeter, most of mine retain there bubbletips, not quite sure why however:)
I run a natural tank, no sumps or whatever. Have loads of caulerpa in them.
The more natural the better.
I keep the temps cool, around 78 degrees on all of my tanks.
So maybe one of the above is what does it.
