BTA Help

I've had a BTA for four months now, but for the last three weeks its been hiding behind the rockwork and wasting away. I've pulled it out three times and it just keeps going back behind the rocks within two hours. I have a pair of maroon clowns that still try and host in it.

All water parameters are fine and everything else in the tank is healthy.

Has anyone experienced this before? It's about a 1/4 of the size it once was, and withering more every day. Is it doomed and should I flush it before it fouls the tank?

Maybe it's hiding from the clowns....i have heard that maroon clowns can beat an anemone to death by trying to host it. I just added a BTA to my tank and within 5 minutes the maroon knocked the rock that the nem was attached to down to the sand and has been harassing it since. I may have your problem soon.

^^^ that could happen. How big are the clowns and how big is the anemone?

You say the parameters are fine, but what are the numbers behind the "fine"

Have you made any changes to the tank lately? Different flow, lights, new fish?
