Now that I have your attention I was wondering if this would be enough space with a little live rock and a pair of clowns. If I do this I will plumb it into my 72 BF for water volume and stability. I just want another pair of clowns and to use this extra equipment I have.
I may have mislead a little bit. Other than the clowns and very little rock this would be the only other thing in the tank. You still think I might have a problem.
It can be done, depends on how big the anameoneis when you start. I've got this one in my 10, under a 175W XM15000. He's gotten bigger than this pic now. but it's been a 8 months and he's no where near too big. If he does get that way, I'll just move him. For awhile he resided where you see him, but when he crawled onto a montipora frag attached to the wall, I accidentaly knocked it off the wall, and he started moving around. I've bitten my lip trying not to curse him when he moved under a Pocillipora that the lower branches are fried, or a pink birds nest that he's wiped out too. Still, he's neat and eventually I'll get a clown to hang with him. By the way, what would be a good clow, a false percula maybe? He had an anemone shrimp, but did not like him at all, stayed closed up when the shrimp was on board. I think he finally ate him.
Yeah as I normally go by what live aquaria says I still think you can have one in a 10 gallon if you have the right lighting.
If they do grow big they usually split.
The problem is if you have other corals they can move around and will sting them.
If you only have a BTA and clowns I would think it would work.
