BTA question

I have had a BTA for about a month now. It started out great eating every 3 days shripm, silver fish. It now has found a crevas in the LR so only a little sticks out. It's about 18 inches from the 150 MH. During the day it closes up and is usually only open when the actinic 65x2 come on. It has been over two weeks since I have seen it eat. When I put a piece of shirmp in its tenticles it sits there for a few minutes then just falls out. During the day when it closes up it's mouth sort of pops out with a brown slime sticking out.

Could there be major proble with the BTA. Or is he still just getting used to the tank. I have 2 percula clowns who haven't gone near the BTA either. My water is almost fine.

Sound to me like it is pooping and not hungry.
And it is getting used to your tank and lights.
I would let it be for a week without feeding it and let it rest and get acclimated to the new home.
Post a picture of it if you can.
Is it staying red? Or do you see some white on it?
