BTA Tankmates

What kind of sessile inverts would go well with a BTA? I might put a few corals in, but they will be placed far away from the BTA so they are less likely to get stung. Is there anything besides macroalgae that I can put directly near it?

Also, is it healthy to have only one powerhead in the tank or do I need a wavemaker system?

mmm, well i have 2 powerheads (one tunze nano stream on each side) and i have an aquaclear on the back and the skimmer on the back. I personally would have two. maxi jets work nice on a budget.

as far as what to put in the tank.. anything you want really.

If you have the option, let the bta settle in to the spot it likes then add coral. that way if it walks around it wont sting to much.

I have softies, lps, zos and a few sps, and even when my nem sat on top of... well... lots of these things (polyps, zoos, and a favia as of lately) they dident die just closed up a few days and some skirts turned black.

my nem was in the sdame spot for 8 months, but it took a walk for about a week strrait just lately.

just let it settle in and add whatever you fancy.

My 40 is devoted to my clowns and anemone only. I have 2 phs in it. A 1200 and a 900 maxijet

90 gallon?

I just set up a 90 gallon and i put 2 tunza 6100's in it. one on a controller.

In my 45 gallon i had 2 maxi jets, 1 1200 and 1 900 as well, but just switched to the tunze nanostreams a few weeks ago.

If you have the money get good powerheads. because if(when) you finally upgrade the powerheads your nem might just move on you because of change of flow (pretty sure thats why mine moved)

Im not sure if 2 1200 maxis or nano streams would b enough or not, might want to ask in the reef discussion or equipment forum.

If it is a 90 i can tell u the 2 tunze 6100's i put in mine are really nice and powerful
