Bubble Acts Strange

I have a large, green Bubble(Sinu) that I purchased about 3 months ago. Here's what it does: It will be all bubbly and drop it's bubbles to the sandbed exposing it's mouth. Sometimes, it does the same thing but it will deflate. The mouth is open. It will stay this way for many hours, up to 24hrs. It usually happens after I feed it (fresh, ground meaty food) but it will do it when it hasn't been fed.

What's going on? Params are fine, low flow and light. Do you feed yours? What do you feed? How often do you feed it? Thanks in advance!

Does anything come out of the mouth when it does this? A photo would help, but it may just be expelling waste.

Sometimes. After I posted this, I went to look at it again... 5 of the septa do not have skin over them! Huh?!! It just had to recently happen in the past 24hrs or so as the septa are pure white! Is there anything I can do? Sure don't want brown jelly disease to get her :(

I mean this Bubble is REALLY STRANGE:crazy1: Today he is partially inflated. Every single septa is covered today:bounce1: It was like he peeled his tissue down and away from his mouth and those razor sharp blades:hmm4:
Has anyone seen this before? Any thoughts as to why? I'll try to get a picture of him:)

OOps! Ignore the first picture...I'm not computer savy :( The second link is a picture of when I first got him... I think he's about doubled in size since I got him!

Knock, knock...anyone out there? :+)

I have the same bubble for about 15 years and never feed mine. I have found that if they get too much light or flow they act weird. I have had a few times where the septa becomes exposed for a day or two, maybe just normal to get rid of waste.

Thanks Jim :) So you have never fed yours? 15 years is a LONG time...Congrats!! I hope mine will live as long or longer :) I may just stop feeding it and see how it does. I don't believe it's the lighting or flow making him act strange...maybe feeding it is the cause?!

dose this change after you feed it, it may be related to the feeding, how is the water quality, anything around it may sting it ?

Nothing near it, water quality has been fine until a few days ago...pH dropped dramatically :( I think the tank crashed, or nearly did(lost SPS's, a couple Acans...) He has not been inflated now for 3 days :( Most septas' are showing.... He's either dying or maybe trying to have a clone? Doesn't look good at all but not seeing any brown jelly or algae growth on his septas. I'm worried now!
