bubble algae

tank has been running for 3 months and has gone through the hair and brown algae cycles. Both have gone away, but now i am dealing with bubble algae. when i first noticed them, i removed it by hand, but i must have bursted some and it's coming back again after a few days. i have 2 emerald crabs, but i never see them eat the bubble algae. with the way my rocks are setup and tied together its difficult to take them out and remove the bubble algae. what should i do? should i get another emerald crab? i don't have any corals yet and only 4 fishes in my 92g corner. my parameters are good with nitrate and phosphate, i do weekly water changes as well.

It grows just fine with good parameters IME. I have always had it, emeralds have not rid me of it.

Never botheres me really, excpet when I reaad threads on here. It is pretty sparse.

I've found the easiest way to rid a tank of bubble algae is remove as many as you can before/during a water change. If any bubbles do pop, syphon the water out around that area to remove any spores.

I've found emerald crabs are very overrated when it comes to bubble algae removal =(

Yea I don't hold much hope for crabs eating the bubble algae. I wait unit they get big enough in my tank to grasp them and pull em out. I don't know how much harm they do.

The aptasia is a bigger pain to me.

You might try some very long tweezers to get them. If I break one I don't bother to siphon. The water moves so much any "spores" are long gone.
