Bubble Coral help/Question

This is a first for me! My bubble coral fell to the bottom of the tank and sat for a few day. It has become completely detached from it's skeleton but looks as good as ever. What do I do? Can it survive detached? Would it grab the skeleton back?

I'm doing tank maintenance but will later. I've had this coral or years! It just fell to the bottom a few days ago and when I picked it up today, the skeleton was completely separated. It's looking great sitting on the sand but like I say, never seen this before and hope I an keep it alive.
