Hi, I am looking for a skimmer with a few points in mind. My current system is 60 gallons but am sure I will be moving up to a 120-150 gallon tank in the future. Does one really need to run a skimmer rated as twice tank volume? I will be light to medium stocked, ( less maintenance )
I also am not concerned about size, I will build my own stand/ sump.

Does anyone have experience with the above skimmer?

I run this skimmer and love it. I ran it for about 3 years now on my 120 and am currently running it on my 170. Pulled nice and dark skimmate. I ran it in 8.5 inches of water. Never had a problem with it. Best skimmer I ever had. Might even be to much of a skimmer for a 60

They did change pumps, mine has the aqua bee not the atman pump.

Price I found was 180+35$ shipping, I think it retails at 300+, seemed to good to be true.

I think it is too big for your tank, check Petmountain they have great sales on BM skimmers, you usually have to put the skimmer in the cart to view the price.
