Ok so I got a bubble tip anemone and I didn't know that they only come in red and green colors... He looked healthy and big in the store so I figured I would get him for my clowns... Well he is white and has faded pink tips... I just recently learned that a white bubble tip means they are bleached and dying. Anyone have any advice for me to nurse him back to Health? My clowns love him and every morning he is open when my blues come on. The only problem is he is white.. I did feed him some brine shrimp last week and today I fed him a piece of krill. Good news is he is willing to eat!! Just no color. What else can I do for him?

Here is a pic sry it's not the best!

You can feed it mysis every other day to give it energy. Read the stickies at the top lots of information that will be helpful for you.

Yes that's all you can do for now. Good light, good water parameters and some food.

Trevor, it happens all the time. New people to the hobby don't know they don't come in white and the LFS will say whatever they have to to make a sale.

If you can get a tentacle from another healthy anemone and feed it to him, he may get the algae growing back in his tissue. There is a guy from Texas over in the anemone and clown fish forum that knows all about that. Good luck with it...

Ok thanks! I still haven't gotten him to color up.. He is taking food better this week! He didn't fight me to take the krill actually took it on his own! Still no color though and he does shy away from the lights.. Comes out when the blues are on and a little bit through the day. Hopefully he will color up and be back to normal!
