Bubble Tip, losing color?

I have a green bubble tip in a nano reef. It has split 4 times and doing great. All of a sudden, it has turned white with the pink tip. Looks like a fancy condy almost. The only change i made to the tank was adding 2 mexican turbo snails.

Any idea what would cause this change in color?

doesnt sound like its doing great sounds like its bleaching what lights is it under how old is the tank what are your water parameters

the tank is a couple years old. Its under PC's, jbj nano cube. Its been doing great for a long time. Just after the last water change it bleached. the parameters are all fine.

your anemone is under some stress. How old are your bulbs and when is the last time you fed your anemones and performed a water change on your tank?

mine has done the same thing. I have had this anemone for about 4yrs. It had always been huge, deep green with brown tips. split many many times. Last summer I had some serious tank problems(crash) as a result of lack of maintenance.
The anemone shrank down to like a 10th of its original size. it is a very light green, almost white with pink tips. Its actually kinda nice looking if you didnt know what it once was.

long story short, its been over 9 months with good husbandry, regular water changes, bulb changes, regular feeding, and it still has not recovered.

I come home every day and look at it like I expect today is the day I will see progress.........none yet.

It is not unusual for a bta to bleach after a split. Keep them fed and they will color up again in a month or so.

I do water changes every two weeks on the tank. I don;t add anything, everything has been doing incredibly well in the tank. This happened after the last water change.

Not necissarily. I keep my RBT fed frequently and it is underTek T5s and still has not colored up yet. It has been 2-3 months.
