Hi we just set up a new tank, downsized from 70 to 29. Anyway one of my corals has weird bubble thibgs on it. Can anyone give me an idea what it is or what much cause it?

picture would help. if they are green, it probably is bubble algae. it is a stubborn algae, and i have been fighting it in my tank for about 8 months

Here is the pic

It could be tissue damage (from the lights) which I think is very likely, given that you have new lights and they are closer to the surface. I would move them away and keep your parameters as stable as possible.

this cleared up after moving coral to the bottom of the tank and giving it about a week to heal. no signs of lasting issues. thanks everyone
