Bubbles on Rocks = Dinoflagellates?

I set up my new 75 gallon tank with Marco rocks that have been in an existing tank for 4 months or so.

I notice a few spots of cyano that have bubbles on it. Is that normal? As they lights stay on, more bubbles show up and then disappear.

What concerns me more is that there are bubbles on rocks where there appears to be no algae. Could that be dinoflagellates?

Thanks!

Had the same question in another thread. Only difference is that my bubbles are produced from bare rock. No cyano, no dino. The bubbles first appeared when I had the diatom bloom while cycling many moons ago. Diatoms and algae are clear now, just bubbles appearing on top of bare rock.

Maybe you and I have the champagne edition of rock? :).

Well I wld say that your cyno bubbles are normal for that algae I always notices bubbles when mine died off... Also the bubbles from the rock is prob just trapped air from when you moved the rocks from existing tank... I wouldnt be worried but if you want you can always do a freshwater dip in the rocks in question and that should get rid of any bugs or critters you might be worried about... :)
