buffer for digital ph tester

I just order a hanna digital PH tester. It includes a 7.01 buffer does anyone know if this is used only for the first time to calibrate it or do you need to use the buffer every time you go to use the tester?

You don't need to calibrate the PH meter everytime you use it.

Electronic PH meters are factory calibrated but over time (months) they tend to drift off a bit .. as such calibration fluids are readily available to help you dial them back on target. I don't have your unit but chances are good your instruction manual will have a recommendation on how often you should recalibrate.

Yeah I was just making sure that it is not needed every time cause I was going to order more solution but I guess I will wait till I need to calibrate it according to the manual. Thanks for the input
