Building another new tank

Sounds awesome! Haven’t looked too much at Zetlight, to be fair, hadn’t heard of them until now

New addition

Also skimmer upgrade day from the POS coralife biocube skimmer. Liked the design since it fits in a back chamber but kinda pointless that no matter how it was adjusted it would overflow from the vent in cap back into tank…. Have a fluval sea mini on my Fluval evo 13.5 and it works good so hopefully this Fluval follows suit.

Should be a good upgrade. Any aggression between the tang and angel? Did I read you have plans to move the tang when it grows larger?

Also any plans to add more live rock? It’ll give you more bio filter and more places for frags.

Planning on getting a 100 gallon in a couple months.

May get another box of coral life frag zone.

Are you going to use that as substrate in the display?
I will use that to add to the rocks for my nanocube. For the 100 gallon it comes with about 70 pounds of live rock and will probably add another 50-60 pounds from my lfs, as larger pieces will fit in it easier.

So far it looks like the new Fluval sea skimmer will act properly. It finished blowing microbubbles within an hour of it being on, and although it may need fine tuning after a bit looks to be working properly. Might be a reason the Petco I go to stopped selling the coralife biocube mini skimmers as what I hear every one they sold was returned.

Cannot believe it has been 6 months already since I set up this tank. Everyone is still alive and well, with the exception of the 2 green star polyp frags that I believe the flame angel ATE, especially since the Kenya tree, zoas, palys, and Acro frags are still well. Also the Fluval sea skimmer is still working properly, 4 months after getting it.... MUCH better than the coralife mini skimmer. The 2 coral life skimmers I tried barely lasted a month each before being returned. Thinking I may need to check how my brain functions though as I am looking at getting a 150 gallon and stand since my neighbor decided to keep the 100 gallon. Need to measure the space and hopefully it fits. Not looking forward to buying lighting for it since when I needed to replace the hood on the nanocube because the light decided to vacate, the one zetlight 90w was almost $350.00, thinking I would need 2 or 3 more of those unless I did something different for lights. Maybe look at market place and see if I can find any deals.

Recent photo. Still need to figure out how to make the iPhone take decent photos with the blue lighting.

With LED, even in white light you can still hit the blue look. Many use Orange filters (orphek is the common brand) to make it appear as it does in real life.
