Bulge on Moorish Idol

There is a buldge on my Moorish Idol, Any idea what it is? you can see it from the video here, It is on his side:

When did you notice it, and what have you fed him in the last 48-72hours? Any freeze dried food by chance?

I noticed it a few days ago. It seems to have gotten bigger. He just eats pellets, frozen food mixture and tons of Nori. He actually seems obsessed with the Nori and seems to be constantly eating it.

Have you seen him poop? It seems like he has a blockage. If not it could be a tumor or cyst. If he keeps eating then its probably not a blockage, I would expect some sort of sign of lose of appetite if it was a blockage though.

I have seen him poop so that is not a problem, at least for now.

Well he didn't make it. He was fine and swimming around, his stomach was very full and then the bulge ruptured and it wasn't long at all before he was dead. It was like swimming around one min and then dead the next. I'm pretty bummed because he was eating well and overall seemed fine except for that bulge.

WOW, *** man, I am sorry! I was hoping someone with more experience would have chimed in. I am praying I don't lose my puffer and black tang as we speak. Horrid case of velvet going on.

looks like uronema. I lost a lot of nice fish to that before.

That is why I always do tank transfer with formalin or freshwater dips between.
