bulkhead gasket

So its memorial day and there isnt any fish stores open and I really want to get a new tank plumbed, problem is I'm short on a couple bulkhead seals. Went to home depot to get some PVC and happened to find a Danco tub and shower drain gasket that looked like it would be a good fit. Got it home, and yup, it fits perfect. has 1 slightly ribbed side and 1 smooth.

Will this work the same as a normal bulkhead gasket and would it be considered reef safe?

It shoudnt be a problem. I've even used a piece of pond liner for a gasket. Its been holding fine on a water holding tank.
