My bullet head gobies spawned about two weeks ago and a saved about a fifth of the batch (there were thousands of eggs!). I have about two hundred or so babies now, they where tiny at hatching-smaller then the clowns , and have grown fairly slowly but they are active and I have seen very few losses so far. Because they were so small at hatching I fed them a mixture of ss and large rotifers, live nano, and ciliates in hopes of finding the right food. I have done small water changes every day with broodstock replacement water and kept the s.g. at .019. I am housing the babies in a black three gallon tub just in case they don't like corners. I see that the babies now have enlarged pectoral fins and mouths and their little tummies are full but they still look like larvae.
My question is does anyone know when these guys metemorphisis? Not in any particular hurry, just curious.
thanks
