Button ployps are melting

Hello,

I have a nano tank with 26 gallon. Several soft corals have grown but around 3 months ago, corals begun to melt especially button polyps. Moreover, Rose Bulb Anemone shrunk one out of ten against its original size and looses its body color as well. Fishes seemed like good, healthy and live well but snails are flourishes with algae.

What happened with my tank?
For your information, I could not purify saltwater a couple of months due to my laziness but not now. In addition, I feed tetra bit to my clown fishes and yellow tang a lot so I believe it may affect water quality. If so, how can I resolve this situation?

This is a case for...............What are your test parameters? What lighting and how long, what circulation pump do you have? How old is the tank. How often do you do water changes etc.?

nitrate : 0
hardness : 6
PH : not sure but may be 7-8


Lighting : 1 unit of Radion, 4pm to 10 pm controlled by an integrated dimmer

Circulation pump : Hydor Seltz L30

2 years old tank but it was moved 10 months ago

water change : recently 10 - 20% twice a week but before then once a month with 10%

Ammonia? Nitrite? Calcium? Magnessium?

Your not sure what your ph is... I think you should test it instead of guess.

You list your hardness at 6. Are you using fresh water test kits? At a minimum you need and alk test kit.

Gentlemen, Thank you for your comments. I need to buy some more test kits to verify my saltwater condition.
In the meantime, I just tried another thing to resuscitate my dying corals and to come up with a solution.
So early this morning, I made a quick tiny saltwater(Elios) bowl with a wave maker only.
And I put my melting button polyps into there. I'll observe carefully whether it becomes better.

Should've left it alone... its probably gone now that you moved it and the water quality swinged.

I'm not trying to be rude, but if you don't have anything to check your salinity and alk, then you're not ready for corals. On the plus side you did start with a hardy easy coral.

If you don't have anything to test for salinity your not prepared for this hobby in the first place.. your very very lucky your salinity never swinged on you or everything would be dead a long time go..

Actually I do not have test kits for all water parameters, however most of them are prepared including PH monitor(not calibrated yet but I'll do it today). What I don't have at the moment is may be Magnesium but I will prepare soon.

In the meantime, today I came up with some idea of very suspicious culprit regarding this issue. I can remind the moment that condition of button polyps got worse is when I changed the configuration of my Radion. I changed the Intensity of Radion graph as a little bit weaker than before because when it reaches its maximum lighting power, integrated fan was quite noisy. In addition, its daytime curve is also shorter than previous condition.

I'll try to extend lighting period as well as its intensity today and report whether it becomes better or not.

Just a FYI, I haven't checked my Ph in over 15 years, however I do check my alk which I believe is more important.

I know your anemone will like the increased lighting.

If you are using a good quality salt, I wouldn't worry about your mag at this time. However it never hurts to check.
