Button Polyps and Upgraded Lighting

I have some button polyps that are about four inches below the water surface in my 90-gallon tank. They did great there with CF lighting, but I just installed a T5 HO fixture (Nova Extreme Pro with six 54W bulbs). A couple of questions:

1. Will that be too much lighting for them over the long-term?

2. If that's okay long-term, do I need to acclimate them to the increased lighting? If so, any recommendations on how to that (shorter lights-on cycle, screening, etc.)? I hate to shock them - the old fixtures had only three bulbs and not a very good reflector, so this is a big increase in light.

They are on the top corner of a really large rock. If they won't be happy long-term, then I'll have to do some major rearranging of the rockwork... or try to pull them off the rock and move them, neither of which I want to do.

Thanks!
Tom
