Button Polyps

Lately I have been having my polyps turn insides out. after checking all parameters ammonia 0 nitrates 5 nitrite 0 phos 0 cal 420 mg 1290 alk 9.0 . I'm pretty sure is has nothing to do with parameters cause they are very steady and every other corals has been happy. After a little more investigation when the lights were off. I found hundreds of little micro brittle starfish. Ive been reading up on these little suckers and everyone swears they are beneficial. To me they seem like they are bugging my button polyps. I see the critters everywhere. But for some reason the only affected is the button polyps. Now I read they do damaged to tissue that's already dieing. Maybe I have another pest on the polyps. Whats everyone opinion. Should I try a freshwater dip on the polyps and see what comes out? Maybe a coral rx dip? Thanks in advanced

Yeah that why I let it fly for few months. But they are not turning back. Honestly I think the brittle stars are reeking the havoc. But I could be mistaken

I've noticed that my Button Polyps stay open and stretch out under very strong flow. If I adjust or re-locate the powerhead that's been pointing at them, then they shrink and close up.

Have you made any recent flow changes lately?
