By 125 g mixed reef tank

Thought I would share a video of my 125g mixed reef tank. Just added two 250wt hallide lights to help with coral growth. Also running 8 T5HO lights.

This tank has been up and running since December 2010. I moved from a 55g tank. My best Christmas gift ever!

Is that an A. valida that you zoom in on at around 30 seconds?

I was told that it's a red acro but that could be wrong.

Your tank looks nice, but the reason I asked was smooth skin acro's like you have there can be pest magnets. Your's does seem to be showing good growth and your camera could be making it look a little washed out, but you might want to look at it a little closer with a magnifying glass. AEFW and Red Bugs are tough to spot and can make a colony look faded long before its demise. Don't get me wrong, I think it's a beautiful coral but A. valida and like corals can be some of the most colorful acro's, and I just got to wondering if something might be keeping it from reaching its full potential.

Wow! I wasn't aware of this. Mine does look better than the video I took. Golden color with purple tips. I looked at it closely and don't see anything of concern but will keep my eyes open. I'll try to figure out how to use my digital camera so I can post close up pics.

I attempted to take some pics of some corals from my 125g tank. I either need a better camera or digital camera training!:headwally: Hope the pics turn out. My goal with posting is to get feedback from people that might see something that my novice eye might miss. I am OCD when it comes to my tank and have learned roughly 95% off of reef central. I welcome anyone's feedback regarding my reef tank.
