For those of you who missed the talk last night, it was on "Do fish feel pain," by Stan D. Stan start off his talk by saying he doesn't know if fish feel pain. What we learned is some fish do have the equipment to feel pain, but whether they actually do is still a question. What I found interesting is, researchers removed 80% of a fish's brain, and it still acted like a fish. The bottom line..we don't know if a fish feels pain, and if they do it may not be in the way we know pain. What we do know, is there is a lot more to learn about the creatures that inhabit our tanks and planet.
