Ca and alk balance

Nathan4Wvu

Do you like Phil Collins?
I checked my water tonight and it tested Ca 480-490 and the alk was about 4.5-5 drops which ='s 2.3-2.5 mill so is that in balance????

I do not advise people to focus on the balance as much as just keeping each in a suitable range. I recommend 380-450 ppm for calcium, and 2.5-4 meq/L for alkalinity. A little higher is OK, but lower is not.

So you might consider raising the alkalinity a bit.
How are you supplementing calcium and alkalinity?
