I see some reactors having two chambers. Are they better?

I am narrowing down my search for a CR. Any advice on what ones not to get, good or bad options? efficiency/quality/durability.

If you gave me only 2 choices.
A GEO or a Precision Marine.

The 2nd chamber allows for the absorption of excess CO2.
While the lowered pH due to injection of CO2 into the media filled chamber allows for the dissolving of the media to get the Ca into the effluent. The by product is that the 1st chamber sometimes cannot use up the CO2 fast enough. So the addition of a second chamber full of media which handles that.

So, 2nd chamber is a nice addon to prevent depressing the pH of your tank.

Or you get standard single chamber and drip effluent into refugium which the macro algae in that will/should use up the CO2 or you dump it into your protien skimmer in which it "off-gases" in the massive churning of bubbles in the skimmer.

For overall utility and resale concerns...If I didn't mind the extra expense I would go with a 2 chamber model every time.

Hope that covered the bases.
