calcium chloride

i bought a container of bulk calcium chloride at one point in time and used it once.. it didnt come with any directions. i remember the guy that sold it to me told me how to use it but i forgot...i thought it got it to lower my akl and raise the cal.. does any one knough how to use this stuff.... i hust remember mixing it in some water and it got hot and slowly poured it in to the sump... maybe some one else has used this before? i dont know the ratio calcium to water for the affect... please help my out with some info
