Calcium Draw

For those of you who measure such things...around what is your daily/weekly draw on calcium. Especially relevent to what I'm wondering is what you try to keep it at, how much is depleted in a given time period, and what your display:total system volume ratio is. Thanks.

Nate....I'd say total water volume in my display is 90g.
I'd say i have a medium draw at approx. 25ppm/day
I try to stay at 450 but thru the week it works down to 400-420 even with dripping lime water, i bring it back up over the week end with a water change and an extra drip.:smokin:
Hope that helps.

The draw in my little tank is insane. LOL. I'll have to measure my ALK/CAL consumption next time I'm home. I'm actually curious, becuase I always get asked how much I dose per day, but really am not sure anymore. I need to measure the flow rates on my dosing pumps again.

I shoot for:

Alk: 8-9 dKH
Cal 450-460 ppm
Mag 1440-1500 ppm

The reason I'm asking, is because my tank draws close to .5 dKh per day, but I'm measuring something like 10ppm Calcium per week. This just doesn't seem right to me, so I'm guessing that my test kit for calcium is just way off.

Tested today and came up with a difference of over 60ppm from my Red sea kit to my salifert kit. Normally, I'd assume that the Salifert was accurate, but it is the one that's measuring a very slow change in my calcium levels. It's stamped 06-2011 so it's definitely not past its shelf life, but I've also read a lot of people not happy with their readings in general. Anybody have any other experiences?
