calcium reactor or kalk reactor

I'm trying to decide which one would be better for me a duel chamber calcium reactor or a kalk reactor. Is there any added benefits between the two?

plenty of differences between the two, what are you hoping to accomplish? What kind of tank do you run, softies, stonies, a mix?

Calcium reactor: Lowers pH due to CO2, maintains ALK, maintains or adds Ca, more expensive (CO2 cannister, gauges, reactor)

Kalk reactor: Raises pH, limited on Ca addition on evaporation rate or could only add until pH increases by .02, kalkwasser precipitates phosphates

A lot of hobbyist including myself run both because they compliment each other.

I prefer dosing limewater from a settled reservoir more than from a limewater reactor, but between limewater and a CaCO3/CO2 reactor and two part systems, it is a three way toss up, and the decision depends on what you want to keep, your budget, and how much time you want to spend doing it. Folks are about evenly split between the three choices, as I see it.
