Calcium Substitute?

Is it true that you can use Prestone Ice Melt for a sub for turbo calcium? I tried to search as I was told there was info here, but could not find it. Anyone have a link handy?
Anyone use it have any adverse effects?

Prestone Driveway Heat, yes. It is repackaged PelaDow, which itself is a dehydrated version of Dowflake that I tested for purity. I also give a recipe for a DIY two part additive, which will be revised in the February Reefkeeping magazine.
