Calling all reefers

I have a buddy who has decided he wants to get his first SW tank, he has asked me to help him set it up and so I am looking for a tank, stand and canopy to begin with.

I am looking for a 120 gallon tank 4ft by 2ft by2ft, I would prefer a reef ready tank with a stand and canopy that are in good to great shape. If you have one or know of someone who does send me a PM and we can talk.

My plan is once I have the basic three I will begin to add a sump, skimmer, lights and the rest.... He will be starting off with softies and such so top of the line equipment wont be a requirement unless he decides he wants to do it correctly the first time.

Thanks, Mike

There was a 180 on craigslist a few weeks ago in the birmingham area. Not sure if its still there but might be a place to look. I got a 90g from there and have been happy with it.

Mike,

I've got a 120 ight now that has no scratches that I'm aware of and is in good shape. I just got the 280 going, so am breaking the 120 and 125 down now. I drained it last night, and hope to get it cleaned up before the weekend (leaving town Thursday night). I've got someone interested that has been hitting me back and forth. If interested, I'd like to give her a few hours to give me a final decision before committing. I'm asking $650 for tank (AGA)/stand (Pine stained Oak, standard AGA stand)/canopy (Glass Cages)/diy sump (GC 50 gallon with weirs siliconed (needs reworking, but was functional when I was using the sump (switched to the tank room a while back).

There is also a couple down here that has a nice 180 they have been trying to sell. I've not talked to them in a week or so, but think they still have it available. I think they were asking $950 for the tank/stand/canopy and some equipment (less than a year old). I can verify that if interested. I think they have some extra rock, too (I do as well at $6/).

If you're talking about Doug and Cheryl, that 180 went back to Jim last weekend...

If they are not in a hurry I have a 90 gallon reef ready with t-5 lights, sump, pumps, skimmer everything needed except fish and rock. I am finally finishing the 240 wood tank when it is done I will be selling the 90.
