Campfire Palythoa

Anyone heard of these or have them? If you have them, easy enough to care for? Any different from other zoo's or paly's?

I am getting several heads this week and am just curious.

Thanks in advance.

I have a large frag... similar to Nightmares but MUCH larger. They grow faster than any Palythoa I have ever seen! ;)

The campfires are an awesome paly. And they grow super fast. Bought 1 polyp, and had 4 polyps within a month. :)

best of luck,
Dan

Not my pic, the guy who I bought it from provided it for me since I am camera challenged.

Yes! Theyre not fussy like say the VDM's

My frag got overturned more than half a dozen times by my wrasse and it still opened up everytime i set it straight.

Ive since set it up in another place untouched by the wrasse and theyre multiplying steadily.

I think they are a very good looking paly wish I had them in my collection tho time will tell. One polyp people should be proud to have in their tank is this one.

I picked these up in Toronto area along with several other types, the seller collects high end zoas, polyps and chalice, all of which I want.

Does anyone have a pick of new growth from a zoa or polyp? When I bought this campfire frag, there appeared to be another little bump forming and now there are several of these bumps right on the base of the polyps, just curious if this is new ones forming or something else. They are wide open and greedy when I feed them.

Thanks.

Scratch that question, I checked them out this morning and from the 3 heads that I started with there are now 8 bumps, 3 of which have little heads on them, so it is starting to grow.

I get them out of Toronto. I picked that frag up along with some other ones. I started with the 3 heads and now, as of this morning, have 11 new heads that are open. I figure I will frag them this weekend into three frags and let them grow out some more and frag again.

For whatever reason and I am not complaining, every type of zoa and polyp grow like mad in my tank. I am just starting to build my collection, but want to go with high end stuff such as Original purple hornets, Bam Bams, Rainbow, Black Hole Sun, Nuclear Green, Shiznit, Everlasting Gobstoppers, Original Red People Eaters, People Eaters on Acid and the like.

They deffinatly don't grow like weeds but they grow fairly fast, I have about 20 polyps now and had them for about 6 months deffinatly a sweet paly.

I bought mine on April 21, 3 polyps on the frag and I now have 14, the 11 new ones are not full size as the other 3, however they are large enough to open and be in view.
