Can a drip from your calc reactor's top cause a problem?

I have a dual chamber MRC-MR2 CR. This weekend I changed my media from Schuran back to ARM because I was running my co2 high just to bring down my effluent Ph. I need to order another set of O-rings so I can have a flush secure closed top but Andy at MRC is on vacation. Right now I have a slow drip coming from my first chamber top. Those plastic screws are on there tight and regardless of how much I cranked down on the screws, I couldn't stop that drip. Since I already have an effluent drip and I have a slower drip coming from my 1st chamber's top, isn't that like me having a double effluent? I can't remedy the problem until Friday when I get home.

Use a smaller feed pump. Less pressure will probably take care of your drips. I had the same reactor and went from a MJ-900 to a MJ-600 and my leaks went away.

Have you put silicon grease on the O-ring? Makes a huge difference in stopping leaks.

What is silicone grease and is it reef safe? Is it like plumbers tape but in a grease form? Where can I get it?
