I got a scooter blenny last week and he eats lots of mysis. Will this provide enoughe nutrition for him?
Can a scooter blenny survive on mysis alone?

there is some but ive been told they can deplete the population fast. Is there vitamins that u can soak the food in?

Im not sure i got the lfs to feed him when i was there. I wouldnt buy one that didnt he will probly starve if u dont have a ton of pods. Mine eats from the feeding tube. hes a pig.

yeah..I have a scooter that nibbles on mysis when it falls near him..and he eats the pods that are in your tank...if you've got an established tank, you'll be fine koll12. If not, you should find some people who do, get a cup of their sand and seed your tank. you may also want to get a few cups from different tanks to diversify your bioload.

Same with my Mandarin, but it wouldn't eat at the LFS.
You can't just dump mysis in the tank and expect them to eat it, you need to use a feeding tube, and teach them. I attached rigid airline to an eyedropper and my green mandarin is slurping up mysis like a pig, after being trained on live brine from the feeding tube.

If u can get pods its probly not a bad idea. But if can soak the mysis in vitamins i cant see y it wouldnt survive. Mine seems happy and is gaining weight. I would like to get a mandarin but dont want it to die. How did u train urs to eat? Did u do it in ur display?

Can it survive solely on mysis? Maybe, but I would mix in some cyclopeeze and prawn roe. I've kept one in a 10 gallon for well over a year. No pods to speak of. Feed twice daily. The key is to turn off the flow for at least 1/2 hour. Let the food settle to the bottom so the scooter can pick it off the substrate.

I turn my pumps off as well. Gives him time to get it all in.
