Can anyone explain to me how this ATO works?

I received this many moons ago, have the slightest how it works. Hoping there's someone out there who can explain how to use it. Thanks in advance.

Looks like a pressure switch, maybe it's from avast marine? Plug it into the wall, plug your ATO pump into the box and put the clear tube like half submerged in your sump. The knob on the side might adjust the pressure level required to turn on the pump

Thanks for that. When you mean ATO pump, you mean any pump I have lying around? Theres no knob on the side. Its just the test tube looking thing with suction cups.

Oh I guess that's where the cord goes in, I've never used one of those just seen them around. It's not this one but the instructions should be similar.

Yeah any pump that's not super high flow you don't want it to fill so much that it overfills with rodi before the sensor picks it up.

How big of a tank? I like the Aqua Lifter Pump from Tom. Used it for top-off on my 100g, worked great
