Can anyone ID this?

I noticed some of my zoo colonies vanishing and found this bugger yesterday grazing.... what is this, it is more yellow in color than the picture and has a hardshell on top also yellowish in color.... took him out and threw him away.....

Thats too bad it's a limphet a small reef-safe herbivore. They don't eat zoos.

Should have waited I guess.... Oh well!!! Live and learn. That would mean there is something else that is cleaning out my zoos, back to square one... tks.

Wait till you turn off the lights in your lank tonight & bust out a flashlight. About a half hour after lights out look for Nudis, zoo eating snails & zoo eating crab.

I will do that, in the mean time I have 2 long spin urchines, do they eat zoos?

They may be eating the corraline and irritating the heck out of the zoos... Look into that. Just think how much it hurts a 150 lb to 250 lb guy or girl when one little spine sticks in your finger. Now think about how that tiny zoo feels when stuck by a huge spine. They are community polyps, so if one gets hurt, usually quite a few around it will close up.
