Can anyone ID this?

I found this hitchhicker and was wondering if anyone could ID it. Sorry for the bad picture, but I only have a point and shoot and it is pretty small (its length is equal to the diameter of a nickle).

You can't tell from the picture, but it is very oblong.

It seems like a mussel of some sort.
