Looks like an alien worm.:jester:

I really have no idea what it is, but I would err on the side caution and not put it back in the tank. I can't stand creepy worms, and remove most of them when I can.

It might be a Polychaete epitoke of some sort.

After doing some research I think you are right cloak it's a epitoke, the reproductive part of a worm, I got rid as who knows what worm it is could be anything that reproduces like that.

Could well be, but it seems lots of worms reproduce in this way, but a Christmas worm would be much better than a boobit.
