Can anyone tell me what this might just be?

Hello all,

I found this little creature a lot smaller than this on the back of my hermit crab's shell.

At first I thought it could be a baby feather duster but now that it's getting a lot bigger I'm not seeing any feathers coming out of it.

Also when i touch the head of it it will quickly go back into it's shell as you can see in the photo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

It's a vermetid snail.
