I currently have one Centropyge bispinosus (Coral Beauty) in my 75 gallon reef and I would like to have a pair. Can I add another or will the one I have currently kill it?

I would say no. I don't know the chances of them pairing up, but if they don't pair, it would be a life of relentless torment by the dominant one.

I had a coral beauty and a flame angel in my 120, and the flame chased and picked on the coral beauty until she jumped out. Then, the flame turned on my clowns and harassed them until I could net him, which wasn't easy at all. Maybe I had a bully flame angel, but I've since read that pygmy angels are extremely difficult to put together without temperment issues cropping up.

Plus, there's always a risk that a pygmy angel may nip at corals, so adding another would be rolling the dice, IMO.

Yeah I figured it was a no go. I really want to set up a seperate tank just for a pair of either C. colini or C. multicolor. I may do that sometime this summer. How do most people pair Centropyge? Do they have to be purchased as a pair?
