Can I blackout refugium?

I had an outbreak of dino in my DT. I was able to get it under control by lowering the light to 2 hours per day and running UV.

Now the DT is fine, but I do have an outbreak in my sump where I have my refugium using chaeto. I ran the lights there for 8 hrs every day.

The question is ... Can I turn off the lights in my refugium for say 3 days without killing the chaeto?

absolute worst case, you MIGHT see a little bit of die-off, but I wouldn't sweat it. I'm sure you'll be fine.

Depending on how much you have, maybe just put the chaeto in a 5 gal bucket with a light and a powerhead?

Just to follow up ...

I have done 3 days without lights in the refugium - dino is gone and the chaeto looks fine.
