Can I dip mushrooms?

Today I ordered a nice rock of purple/blue mushrooms.
I was wondering if there is any kind of dip I can use in case of any predators on the mushrooms.
I don't usually dip corals before putting them in my tank but I had a couple problems recently so I have started to.
I have tropic marin pro coral cure but it seems like it is a more aggressive Iodine dip for LPS and such.

I use the seachem iodine dip for my shrooms but don't leave them in there very long as they will start stressing

Alright, since I have posted this I have learned that many people use F/w dip for 5-10 minutes as well.
What do you think about that?

You want my opion ...... I do not do it as it burns the outer layers of the shroom/foot and then they slime for a while afterwards. they recover but it would like dropping you in the sahara butt naked for 2 hours and then asking you to recover do you think you'll ever be the same ??

Also I would go back to your information and double check the 5-10 minute Fresh water bath that is a dam long time I've seen coral shrivel up and melt within 5-6 minute of being in freshwater. I lost a colony of metalic blues to a F/W dip and they were only in the solution for 5 minutes.
Now zoa's and such can handle that but shroom have a hard time of it.

I agree with JMC shrooms don't like freshwater dips and only use that as a lst resort if there is an infestation of some sort and I wouldn't do it for longer then a minute or two tops.....

Azurel, I see you dip R. Florida in FW with Iodine when blackbugs/protazoa infect them. Whould you recommend this dip for all incoming Rics (including yumas) before QT? If not what would you recommend?
