Can I drill this??

I'm getting a 55 for making up water change water. It's going to sit higher than my sump, so I wanted to get a hole drilled at the bottom of it and install a spigot with a hose going directly to my pump so adding water would be a breeze. But isn't there problems with having holes too low on tanks? How low could I go without worrying?

I don't know much about the hole placement but most 55's are tempered glass and not drillable, make sure before you drill.

What tools do you need to drill a glass aquarium for a sump/fuge setup...

Not sure, I wasn't going to do it myself. I was going to bring it to a glass shop.

jmd tub or trashcan and drill away. a ton heaper than buying anther tank just for waterchanges. If you intenet on doing this, you can drill the sides low usually. AGA tanks are tempered bottoms, as most tanks are only tempered bottom.
