can I get and ID please?

little green organisms with a red dot on them. When we first spotted them they were just on the glass, but I was in the tank today and noticed that there were a lot of them on our Evil Mel's Zoa rock. I will try to get a pic up of them but they are so small that i don't know if a pic would even turn out or not. If they are harmfull what can I do to get rid of them? Thanks in advance,
Andy

I have had 2 mandarins eat them. I have heard that spotteds are more likely to eat them over the phycadelic type but mine were the latter. I even put one in my 5 gallon ( ) to make sure he ate them and sure enouph wiped them down to managable numbers. ***He was only in there a short period of time*** before the mandarine police come and get me! I found him a suitable home after about a month. He fought with my other male and ended up in the sump one day is how I netted him and tried my little experiment. He was a very rare one as he also ate myasis but if you do not have LOTS of pods and LOTS of rock I wouldn't get one. My 80 with 100lbs rock barley produced enouph food to keep one healthy. He stayed rather slim looking FWIW.
You could just go with saliferts flatworm exit. I used a air tube to siphone out the dead as they started dying off the first few mins to keep the toxins low and it works great without sucking out a ton of water to fast.
Also a six line wrass will eat them but can be pretty mean and I think a yellow coris wrass eats them also with a better attitude.

IMO predators are not 100%, and, at best, still hit or miss. Flatworm exit isn't something I would recommend either.

First try to up your flow. I have found that doing this will dwindle the FW population. It's an easy solution that is cost effective, while not introducing any chemicals or unplanned animals into your tank.

They will go away on their own if you cut back on the nutrients in the tank. Their population will crash eventually anyway. Increased flow will help as mentioned.

Mike, did you ever completely get rid of yours? Was it something you did or did they just go away on their on

Mine come and go. It all depends how clean my tank is. I would not recomend Flatworm Exit. When the Flatworms die in mass populations they will make the H20 toxic.
