I glued my acro at a 45 degree angle on base rock wall and wondered it the underside will be ok not getting much light.

Sure. Every branch has an underside that doesn't get much light. Actually I like attaching frags horizontal. That way the coral encrusts very well and almost always shoots up multiple branches at once. Instead of the stick growing up. Downside is it takes longer to grow it's first branches.

In the ocean when a coral gets broken off it never land standing up. So it will be okay, will take a while to grow like others have mentioned.

i have done both - quick satisfaction comes from vertical mountings but if your patient nothing beats the growth of a horizontal mount - growth form is awesome
