Hi guys I have a 14 gallon nano and a 30 gallon..
Can i keep an anemone in the 30 gallon? If so which one is the best? I have been scared out of it b4. them walking and all..What are the risk to my zoos? What about lighting? (the nano comes with pc's 3x10k)
if not an anemone then what can i keep that is similar?
Oh yeah and while i'm thinking about it..have you guys heard of false percula clowns? supposedly they only get to 2 inches.. Anyone know this to be true? Is it wise for me to have just one in my 14 gallon? I already have a yw gobie and pistol who are thriving? I have no idea what it would "host in" though..i only have zoas and shrooms
Thanks

Lol have we heard of false percs...of course! Most common clownfish readily available for the common saltwater fish tank...From what i've seen the anemone is more scared of the zoas (literally seen), the tentacles will touch the zoas and quickly draw back because of the sting...so there's really no problem. As far as lighting I'm not sure how many watts you have so I can't determine

it would have to go in the 30 a 14 would be too small for an anemone, hwat lighting do you have over the 30? how old is the tank? false perc=occelaris clownfish very common they get 3-4 inches tho perulca get 2-3inches

my lights are
3 x 24 watt (actinc, white, 50/50, lunar)

parameters good...tank is 8 months old

I just dont want the fish getting too big..lol and my lfs told me there was no such thing as a clown false perc or not that would stay under 4 inches sooo just checking.. (i hate them) always trying to sell me stuff i KNOW shouldnt be anywhere near my tank!

if i get clowns no anemone then will they host in leathers etc?
thanks guys..
Claire

Your LFS is wrong...perculas or ocellaris clownfish will rarely get above 3-3.5 inches. As for hosting your leather it is hit or miss.
