Can I keep Zoanthids with my Lights???

Cool, thanks...is any certain variety hardier than others? What are some cool ones, I know I've seen some awesome pics of these thigns and I can't wait to get some.

Yep they will work, just a thought did you look at vho's and t5's, I have vho's now on a 90 and I like them. When i had pc's they were good for gettin the blue to pop on zoo's. But I like the vho for overall color display in the corals.

Unfortunately, I didn't do enough reading before I dropped 200 bucks for lighting. Somethign I regret often now. Oh well I'll live, at least the lunar lights look cool!

WOW... could have gotten 440 watts of of vho, dual ballasts, endcaps, and bulbs for $210 shipped....

IMO the PC's don't even compare to VHO's when it comes to actinics..... JMO

Haha, CoralNutz, when we first started we bought a used 96W PC light for $60. Then found we wanted more light hungry things but were VERY newbie at it. PCs worked in the past so we bought a brand new 2x 96W PC Coralife Fixture with moonlights to tue tune of $250.

When we bought the lights for the 150, we got two 400W halides, bulbs, ballast, sockets, reflectors for $200 total, and after we added 4 36" VHOs with IceCap 430 and Workhorse 7 ballast, the total cost was $340. Not to shabby, and had we known better, I'd have looked into VHOs for our 40.

Its funny the things we learn.

We follow the local forums selling forum. It works out great. Plus, when people get to know you they tend to pass along information that leads to good deals from time to time.
