Can I let water sit for a week?

Ok delima here,
Im going to do a water change and im starting a QT for my new flame angel. Well plans did stay the same and I cant get the fish this weekend, but I can next weekend. But it is time for a water change, so the question, can I take the 5 gal out of my tank mix it will new 15gal for my QT. But it would just have a filter and powerhead, and sit for a week. Ok or not?

It will be fine the only difference with having a fish in there is that there will be a bio-load. Having it run by itself will be fine.

since there isnt a fish in there for a week, can I mix the 15gal in the tank?

what do you mean mix salt water in it, if so then yes that won't be a problem

AS long as you don't have any livestock then it is perfectly fine to mix the saltwater in the tank.
