Can pulsing xsenia sting zoos

Can pulsing xsenia sting zoos??? i have a colony right next to some xenia and I just removed a big clump of it and some of the polyps have havnt opened for a few days ???? any thoughts ???

I dont think they can sting but they can release toxins into the water. soft corals = toxic warfare. hard corals = sting.

someone correct me if i am wrong.

Either way run carbon.

Polyps generally don't like being touched by anything. I don't thing Xenia has any type of sting.

just make sure that zenia doesnt melt on you, then you will have real problems.
