can someone id. this leather?

got this a week ago from a friend, it was hidden away in the back of his reef all closed up .

Sinularia would be my guess.

I agree sinularia. What you need to do is get it in some med/high flow and bright lights. Take your time bringing it up in the water column so it gets more flow and light. Move it say 1/4 of the way up each week. Your's is much nicer than mine is, yours has many branches on it. Going to be a nice piece.
